ENTRY #THREE: KAHOOT ENDGAMES !!!!!📌

Assalamualaikum and have a good day people  

Hi everyone, today i would love to share with you Kahoot. Kahoot is a popular games in the website that includes so many quizzes and test. So, me as the teacher loves this platform because it is very helpful for teacher to handle a quiz to the students.Here is the link on how to launch the games. Please click HERE.

         First, the student needs to log in the Kahoot account in the website, then they need to log in the pin number shared by teacher, so they can continue to answer the questions. Now they can compete each other within their friends. Teacher can monitor their students name if they are not involve by looking at the teacher's wall. The questions are being projected using projector and LCD.

            Next, teacher need to review all the questions first before giving the pin number to the students.  This is to ensure that all the questions are related with all the content they already learnt. Below is the question i did with my fellow form 2 Patriotic.

THE PRECAUTIONS ⛔

1) Visual Aids

The class needs to have projector or teacher need to book the computer lab earlier to avoid fully booked. 

2) Subject Contents

Teacher must properly revised and do the question in the website if the questions are not available online.

3) Cheating

During my test, students are seating next to each other and they tend to cheat in the test. This is because limited number of PC and also some broken PC in the lab.


THE ATTRACTIONS 💚

1) Student's Feeling

Student feels very interested to answer the quiz online.

2) Informative and it is Free

Students can easily log in the account and it is free.

3) GO Green

It saves the environment due to paperless. Teacher do not have to print all the tests.

4) Time/Cost Saving 

Teacher can save the time and cost. Students can get the result right after the test.

ENTRY #TWO: PADLET IN TEACHING💻

 Assalamualaikum and a very good day to all you people 

Today i would love to share to all of you what i just did with my fellow students. We learnt Mathematics using Padlet platform. Here the link click here.

     I ask my student to log into Padlet website by using their google account, it is easier than what you thought. After they have been log into the website, teacher share the teacher's wall to the students. 

    Now, students can paste input as mentioned by the teacher. I asked them to find information regarding Algebraic Expression in the Google Search engin or Youtube, then they can share the video or any notes at the wall, so that the whole class can see it and read it.

      I am using this Padlet to my form 2 students. They are so excited about it. Here i share a little bit what my students did in my class. By the way, i named our wall as "My 2 Patriotik Maths Brilliant Kids".

    Next thing, i asked my students to send their assignment in the padlet. I give them an article and they need to summarize the article in the point forms and paste on the padlet wall. Then, i will give the marks from that assignment. Here is the link to assignment.

     Below is the video footage of my students posting the notes on the padlet's wall. They are so excited and i'm just let them to be creative. For the beginning everything went smoothly, then they started to upload unnecessary things in that wall. So, i just advised them to delete it and post something good for all.

During my lesson, my instruction not well organized, so they posted so many things that is not related, maybe they are so excited about it.

Students can easily create the account and it is free.

Padlet is environmendue to paperless. Students submit assignment through padlet. 

4) Time Saving 

Teacher can save the time and students can submit the assignment spontaneously.

ENTRY #ONE: YOUTUBE FOR VISUAL LEARNERS 🎥

Assalamualaikum and have a good day people  

First let me introduce myself, my name is Zulhifi Zainal,  i am originally from Perak, currently a teacher at Maktab Rendah Sains Mara Tun Mustapha Tawau. I am teaching mathematics and additional mathematics subjects. 

         I love mathematics since primary school. For me, mathematics is study about how we dealing in our life because maths is the vital subject if someone needs to know other subjects. So, basically maths is "The Father" of everything. So today i would love to share to all of you about a video "the beauty of maths". Let enjoy the show. The Beauty of Maths 💚

         The youtube is being uploaded by my friend during my studies at the university, the task given is to make a video about the "beauty of maths" and send to my lecturer. Now, the video i can show to my students and my lesson more meaningful rather than chalk and talk.

         Moreover, i also can share other related videos in my lesson by searching in the youtube searching box. It can engage the students with the subject matters more effective.

Student feels very interested to learn and they will stay focused in the class rather than traditional method they tend to fall asleep after few minutes the class just started.

2) Informative and it is Free

Students can easily access to any related videos and it is free. They also can access the videos because it is unlimited.

3) Independent

Students can find the information freely without depending on the teacher. This can help student to be more independent and prepare them for university lifestyle where all the things they need to do it by themselves.
